Parul Shekhar: Crafting Sanctuaries for the Mind, Body, and Soul

In the heart of Gurugram, amidst the urban hustle, lies a beacon of serenity and self-discovery, crafted by the vision of one woman – Parul Shekhar. Her journey, intertwining the worlds of art, yoga, and spirituality, is a testament to the transformative power of passion and dedication.

The tale begins with a young Parul, vibrant and curious, navigating the corporate world for six years. But a deeper calling was always whispering. Guided by an instinctive pull towards nurturing the young mind, she ventured into the realm of education, dedicating four years of her life as a life skills trainer in a Delhi-based school. During this time, Parul became acutely aware of the emotional complexities of young souls, driving her to seek more profound means of connection and healing.

London beckoned, and she immersed herself in the study of Art Therapy at BAAT. Here, she recognized the incredible power of art as not just a medium for expression but as a therapeutic tool. The canvas, she realized, could become a mirror, reflecting a child's innermost emotions and dreams.

Simultaneously, yoga's ancient wisdom became her anchor. Trained by the prestigious Sri Sri School of Yoga, Parul began to understand the deep-rooted connection between the physical and the spiritual. The synchronization of breath and movement, she believed, was an incredible tool to introduce to the younger generation.

Marrying these two loves, Raga Ratnam was born – an art school where kids weren't just taught to create but to connect, to reflect, and to grow. Each stroke of paint and each yoga pose became steps in a journey of mindfulness and self-affirmation.

But Parul's vision wasn't confined to urban settings. She yearned for a space where nature could augment the healing process. Thus, Gheeghar by Parul was conceptualized. Beyond its serene environment, Gheeghar offered something unique – Gau Seva or service to cows, an age-old Indian practice symbolizing compassion and spiritual growth.

At Gheeghar, the ambiance resonates with tranquility. Visitors find a union of yoga's ancient practices, profound spiritual teachings, and the meditative art of Gau Seva. It's more than just a retreat; it's a holistic experience where body, mind, and soul find their symphony.

Parul Shekhar's journey is not just about establishing institutions but about crafting experiences. From the colorful studios of Raga Ratnam to the peaceful corners of Gheeghar, her legacy is a testament to the magic that unfolds when heart, art, and spirit converge.
